This Donation Policy explains how contributions made through the Jacaranda Foundation website are processed and handled.

 

1. Donations

 

Donations made through this website are voluntary contributions to Jacaranda Foundation, a California nonprofit organization.

Jacaranda Foundation reserves the right to accept, decline, or limit any in-kind donation based on its current needs, available resources, storage capacity, safety considerations, and ability to appropriately use or distribute the donated items.

 

Unless otherwise agreed in advance, donors are responsible for arranging the delivery or shipment of physical donations.

 

Once an in-kind donation has been accepted, Jacaranda Foundation may use, distribute, transfer, or otherwise manage the donated goods in a manner consistent with its charitable mission and applicable requirements.

 

Upon request, Jacaranda Foundation may provide a written acknowledgment describing the donated goods. Jacaranda Foundation does not determine or assign a monetary value to donated property for tax purposes. Donors are responsible for determining the value of their contributions and for obtaining any professional tax advice or appraisal that may be appropriate.

 

2. Designated Donations

 

From time to time, Jacaranda Foundation may invite donors to contribute toward a specific program, initiative, campaign, or charitable purpose.

 

When a donation is expressly designated for a particular purpose, Jacaranda Foundation will make reasonable efforts to use the contribution consistently with that designation.

 

If circumstances change and the designated purpose is no longer available, feasible, or necessary, Jacaranda Foundation may use the contribution for a closely related charitable purpose consistent with its mission, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

 

3. Online Payment Processing

 

Donations made through this website may be processed using Zeffy and its payment-processing services.

 

Jacaranda Foundation does not directly collect or store complete credit or debit card numbers through its website. Payment information is processed through the applicable payment-processing infrastructure.

 

By submitting a donation, you authorize the applicable payment processor to process the transaction according to the information you provide.

 

4. Donation Amounts and Transaction Errors

 

Before completing an online donation, donors are responsible for reviewing the donation amount and payment information entered.
